THE PEOPLE
The Last Will separates creation, verification and inheritance so that no single automated event is responsible for releasing a legacy.
The account owner creates the vault, adds content, sets the heartbeat, nominates verifiers and assigns beneficiaries. The Testator is responsible for securely sharing the secret key with intended beneficiaries while alive.
The verifier is the human fail-safe. When inactivity is detected, the verifier is asked to confirm the Testator's real-world status before release is authorized.
The beneficiary receives only the items assigned to them. Before release, inherited items remain sealed. After authorization, the beneficiary uses the Testator's secret key to decrypt the encrypted payload locally.
